When I spend money or give gifts to women it is because there is a true connection. That does not have to be love. I believe women are more independent than ever but I still see why the man should be paying for dinner. I'll tell you what impresses me about truly intelligent independent women is when they do not expect for the man to take care of everything. They try to pay the bill and bring their own gifts at times. It is a two way street for them even if they eventually let you pick up the tab. One other thing about truly intelligent people... they do not flaunt it. They often are quiet about it. The only way to know is to get in the conversation and see how well rounded they truly are. Ms. Intelligent, your post will attract the grovelers which is what I suspect you really want. I would love to meet an intelligent woman who can hold her own in a conversation. It makes anything physical that develops that much better. I simply do not see that as a possibility with someone like you based on your post. The word narcissistic comes to mind.
