I have had a couple of really great notes from you all. Not you Mr Carlos you are just mean spirited. I will try to post/update questions and such here as often as I can. OK I am about 2 hours south of the OR border in Shasta County. The weather is great for farming yet tough on me and my pets/livestock when it gets over 111degrees and really tough when it goes over 120 degrees F. I have2 older large dogs and a hairless dog, 3 cats I have rescued. My livestock consists of a few laying hens and a rooster. 2 goats and a filly. Most of which I would hope to bring with me. I am hoping to find a small town atmosphere..... yet not too far from a major city maybe 45 minutes or less? An area with a milder climate if possible. Maybe a few acres where I can have a small farm. ME I am in a relationship that seems to be over and it is getting down to who will be the first to say good bye. I will be solo once again and will probably have more issues than the LA Times. So friends first is the way I would begin. I would hate to mess up a something great simply because it is the Transition guy. I have been the dutiful daughter, the loving spouse, and a million other roles but myself. When I was young I lacked patience and now that I am getting older I lack time. Thus the beginning of my journey to find unconditional love and a town filled with down to earth people. THE TOWN I have always wanted to live in a town where most everyone knows one another. A town where you do not worry about locking your doors or installing an alarm system. Filled with people that have a strong sense of community and willing to help a stranger. When I first moved here it was pretty much the spot I had always hoped to find and settle down. Now it is just horrible and the saddest thing is no one seems to notice or even care. Well I need to go and start getting the animals bedded down for the night.
