Are they really teaching chimps to read? How is that possible? I know that one Lulu or Koko or whatever learned sign language but that's not the same thing really. What are they teaching chimps to read? Are the chimps expressing preferences? Do they like the New Yorker? Or maybe National Geographic but they just read the articles, they don't look at the pictures of course? Or People? Some may argue that reading People is worse than not reading at all. Or are they getting into novels? Nonfiction? Really, who is teaching these chimps? Do we want to check them out so we know the chimps aren't reading up on how to make killer robots or build bombs or seduce teenage girls? Chill out, mister. You can delete emails that don't meet your standards. Or better, reply to them so the spammers get your email address and you can keep yourself busy with that.
